Ivy – Class of 2014 – Ruston LA Senior Photography

Ivy was my very first Senior of the year.  And my very first senior since moving from Texas.  When I saw her step out of her Mom’s truck I was like OMG, this girl is stunning.  Not only was she drop dead gorgeous, she brought along a truck load of cute outfits, shoes, hats and accessories. AND Mom is a hair and make-up artist!  Seriously, she is a photographers dream.  Ivy is a very sweet girl with a bright future ahead of her.  She plans to attend LA Tech where she will major in Pre-Med and eventually go to medical school.  Wow, what an ambitious young girl!

I could not be any happier with how these turned out!  I love love love EVERY SINGLE IMAGE.  Enjoy!

xoxo

Baby Makes 3! {Lifestyle Family Photography}

This session was super fun {and special} for a few reason.  1) It was my my very first time doing a lifestyle session.  I get these sort of images of my own family all the time, and I loved being able to capture some real life moments for someone else in their home.  2) This Mom and Dad are pretty special.  I’ve known them both for so long that I actually can’t even remember not knowing them, ever.  It makes me heart super happy to see them so happy and with a BABY who they are just insanely in love with.  Love you guys!

And now that I’ve gotten a tiny little taste of this Lifestyle Photography, I’m dying to perfect the art.  Soooooo, who wants to be next😉

Audrey – Just for Fun – Farmerville LA Childrens Photographer

My big girl was a tiny tad jealous of little sis’ Kindergarten photo shoot. So we dressed up one evening and let her have a shoot of her very own. One things for sure, when my children ASK to have their picture taken, I’m not going to say NO! Love how these turned out. Having a hard time deciding which one needs to be added to my canvas wall gallery (which is very sad right now because its a really big wall with just one canvas, but we are working on filling it up!)

3 Sweet {and super girly} Cousins! (Ruston, LA Childrens Photographer)

I love that these girl’s Mommas wanted to have all 3 girls pictures taken together!  Growing up, my cousins were my first real friends.  I wish we had more photos together from way back when!

Their outfits were coordinated PERFECTLY, and they are just all 3 adorable and sweet girls.  We changed outfits at the end of the session to show a little LSU team spirit😉

Andee Faith is going to Kindergarten!

I feel both excitement and anxiety as I think about the few short weeks I have left with my best little friend in the whole world.  Excited, because I know she is excited about learning new things and meeting new friends.  Anxious, because we’ve always been together.  While brother and sister were at school and daycare, she was with me.  She has helped me type a million words on my laptop and edit about as many photos.  We’ve had those days where I thought, oh my goodness, if tomorrow is worse than today, I’m just going to cry.  But, for some reason, now, those days are so hard for me to remember and I only remember how amazing the  good days were.  Those days when she told me I was the BEST mom in the WHOLE WORLD because I make the prettiest ponytails.  And the day when she told that she loves the “lunch kits” (aka munchkins) on the Wizard of Oz.  I wish I would have written them all down so I could remember every sweet/funny word she has ever said.  This little girl is truly one of a kind, He broke the mold after He made this one.  I cannot wait to see what my little Punky Brewster she grows into.

I loved this poem I found about going to school.

I dreamed I stood in a studio and watched two sculptors there,
The clay they used was a young child’s mind and they fashioned it with care.
One a teacher, the tools he used were books and music and art,
One a parent with guiding hands and a gentle, loving heart.
Day after day the teacher toiled with a touch that was deft and sure,
While the parent labored by his side and polished to smooth it pure.
And when at last their task was done, they were proud of what they had wrought,
For the things they had molded into the child could neither be sold nor bought.
And each agreed he would have failed if he had worked alone,
For behind the parent stood the school, and behind the teacher the home.

Now, enough of that mushy stuff!  Isn’t my Andee the cutest?!?!

The “smart glasses” were her idea.  Love her to the Moon and back.  2 times.  Maybe 3!

Project Ten {Challenge} – July – “Water”

project 10 water 8

This month I was introduced to a little fun project.  A group of photographers who interpret a different theme each month using their camera.  Then, post ten images of their interpretation of that month’s theme.  This isn’t my first time participating … Continue reading

E & E (Farmerville. LA Children’s Photographer)

Little Miss E had absolutely NO interest in having her picture made last night!  I can’t say that I blame her.  If I were 15 months old, I’d probably be more interested in exploring and playing with horses, kitty cats and puppy dogs too!  However, her big brother was totally Mr. GQ Model.  I love how all of these turned out and I hope Mom does too.

P.S. I *think* I have figured out who my daughter is crushing on from school (don’t tell her I put this on here, she would DIE)
